“He told me so regret”

Christina Haack reveals the moment that after four years she unexpectedly reconciled with her second ex-husband, Anten Anstead.

The HGTV star, 41, opened the interaction in a teaser for episode 4 of The flip -off (broadcast February 19) on Instagram. In the clip, Christina deals in detail about a surprising gesture that took place immediately after her third husband’s split, Josh Hall in July 2024.

“Ant and I split out when Hudson was one and now Hudson is 5,” says Christina, referring to her son she welcomed with Anstead in September 2019. “During the time between his first birthday and I would say, his fifth birthday, we didn’t communicate much.”

After the pair was split in September 2020, they became engaged in a heated custody fight in which Hudson was involved who was eventually established in December 2022.

‘After Josh and I broke up, I went to [Ant’s] House to pick up Hudson because I brought him to a birthday party, “says Christina.” And when I walked to the door, he gave me a huge hug. We hadn’t hugged for years. ”

The real support show turned out to be a turning point in their relationship.

“He just said:” I’m so sorry for everything you go through and I’m here for you, whatever you need. “It was a very nice moment. We had a long conversation afterwards and we decided to put all BS aside and to be good co-livers, such as Tarek and I, for Hudson.”

Christina and her first husband Tarek El Moussa share two children, Taylor, 14 and Brayden, 9.

Later in the scene, Christina calls Anstead to ask him if he would be open to appear as a guest judge The flip -off.

The new series follows Christina and her familiar team as they compete in a house Flipping Competition against Tarek and his wife Heather El Moussa. She was originally set to work with her now vast husband Josh before the few months after the announcement of the series split.

Tarek and Heather were more open about how they were in full shock when they found out that Anstead would appear in the show during an exclusive interview with people in January.

They said that the series of events had mainly overwhelmed them because they had no idea that Christina and Anstead were even on proverbs after their tense divorce.

“Suddenly they are besties,” Tarek recalled his reaction to seeing Anstead and Christina on the set on the set. Heather added that it “really thrown us away” because they had the impression that Christina and Ant “did not talk.”

Heather explained how looking at Christina and Anstead’s newly passed relationship “unfolding before our eyes” was a whirlwind experience.

‘[Christina] began to follow [Ant] On Instagram and we had something like: ‘What? What’s going on? “It was really true for us,” she said at the time. “You see it on TV perspiring and we are thus thrown away by the situation. I think we sent her a text message: ‘Why are you following Ant? What’s going on? ” ‘

Referring to Tarek, Christina chimde in it: ‘I feel like some [the judges] That I had chosen were just messing around with him. It worked. ”

Fans received a hint for the first time that Anstead might participate in the show when Christina joked about him who replaced Josh in the series after his sudden exit.

Christina and Anstead were then spotted with filming in November 2024, and a source told people at the time: “Ant will appear in the show, but he will not be Christina’s partner.”

Both Christina and Ant are currently in relationships. Christina goes out with businessman Christopher Larocca and Anstead has an almost four-year relationship with Oscar-winning actress Renée Zellweger.
